Alone, Together
His and Hers
His and Hers
He wakes up alone in bed.
I wake up alone on the couch.
He goes to work.
I go to work.
He uses his first break to get to the gas station and buy wine.
I get an apology text at 10am.
He uses his lunchtime to drink in his truck.
I take his call at lunchtime and we talk about dinner.
He shops for dinner and gets a bottle of the wine I like (and 2 for him).
I get his call in the afternoon, and by his voice, know he'll be sleeping when I get home.
He gets home, drinks, does dishes or walks the dogs, drinks, smokes pot, and passes out.
I get home, he is asleep and reeks of pot so I work some more.
He gets up, says hello, and heads to the garage.
I wait to see if he will emerge and cook or if he will simply head to bed.
He cooks and drinks (there's a bottle in the kettle in the cabinet).
I call someone, I have more wine, I wait for dinner.
He avoids me.
I avoid him, I hope he goes to bed.
He passes out alone in bed.
I fall asleep alone on the couch.
